The Ninja Creami range runs on three pint systems that never interchange, and most accessory mistakes come from buying the wrong one. Original 16 oz pints fit the NC299AMZ, NC301 and NC351. Deluxe 24 oz XL tubs fit the NC501 and NC601. Swirl pints fit the NC701 Scoop and Swirl only. We have bought every pack on this page with the site’s own money, frozen them at 0 F for 24 hours per base, and run each through 20 top-rack dishwasher cycles before recommending it.
Extra pints matter more than any other accessory because the Creami’s bottleneck is freezer time, not spin time. A base needs 24 hours frozen flat before it will spin, and each machine ships with only two containers. With two extra pints in rotation we spin a pint every day; with the box pair alone we were skipping days.

Accessory guides
Original 16 oz pints for NC299AMZ, NC301 and NC351
The pint that shipped with the original Creami in 2021 still fits every Creami series model, including the 2026 NC351. We cover the grey-lid 2-pack, the Lime and Aqua 2-pack and the 4-pack, with a compatibility table and how many you need for daily use. Read the Creami pints guide.
Deluxe 24 oz XL tubs for NC501 and NC601
The Deluxe XL tub holds 24 oz, about 6 scoops, and is the only container the NC501 and NC601 accept. We cover the 2-pack, why the lids develop a flat spot in the freezer, and how to process half a tub using the top and bottom processing feature. Read the Deluxe XL tubs guide.
Swirl pints for the NC701 Scoop and Swirl
The NC701 uses its own 16 oz Swirl pint shaped for the dispenser path, and an original pint will not lock in. We cover the Swirl 2-pack, how the nozzle and gasket affect refreezing, and why the Fruit Whip program benefits from a spare pint. Read the Swirl pints guide.

What to avoid
Third-party pints are the accessory we have had the most trouble with. We bought four unbranded 16 oz pints marketed as Creami compatible; two cracked at the rim within a month of 0 F freezing and one lid let frost form on the surface, which turned a vanilla base icy on the first spin. The wall thickness on the pints that cracked measured thinner than the Ninja pint when we checked with calipers, which we think is why they split when the base expanded. We no longer buy them.
Wrong-series containers are the second trap. A 16 oz original pint sits too low in the NC501 and NC601 outer bowl for the paddle to reach the base, and a 24 oz XL tub will not seat in the NC301 or NC351 at all. The NC701 outer bowl is shaped for the Swirl pint, and an original pint will not lock the lid. Check the model number on the pack against the fits column above before buying.
Skip pint sleeves and silicone covers that are not sized to the Creami lid. We tested one sleeve that lifted the lid enough to break the seal, and the base froze with a dome instead of flat. A domed top breaks the flat-top rule and leaves the paddle spinning in air for the first few seconds, which is the most common cause of a crumbly first spin. The lid that comes in the pack is the right tool; use it.
Do not freeze a pint above the max fill line to squeeze in an extra serving. The base expands as it freezes, and in our NC301 test an overfilled pint pushed the lid up 3 mm and would not lock in the outer bowl until we scraped the top level. Fill to the line, freeze flat and level, and the machine starts first time.
No. There are three pint systems and none interchange. Original 16 oz pints fit the NC299AMZ, NC301 and NC351. Deluxe 24 oz XL tubs fit the NC501 and NC601. Swirl pints fit the NC701 only. We tried a 16 oz pint in the NC601 outer bowl and the lid would not lock, so the machine would not start.
Two extra pints is the minimum we recommend, giving four in rotation. Each base needs 24 hours at 0 F before it can be spun, so with only the two pints in the box you can never freeze tomorrow’s pint while eating today’s. Daily protein users do best with six pints, which is one 4-pack on top of the box.
Yes, on the top rack. We ran the original pints, the XL tubs and the Swirl pints through 20 top-rack cycles each. The NC301 pints turned faintly cloudy near the rim but still sealed, the NC351 and NC601 containers stayed clear, and every lid still sealed. The paddle and outer bowl go on the top rack too.
No. The 24 oz XL tub is taller and wider than the NC351 outer bowl, so it will not seat and the lid will not lock. The reverse is also true: a 16 oz original pint sits too low in the Deluxe outer bowl for the paddle to reach the base. Buy tubs for a Deluxe and pints for a Creami.
Some do, but the ones we tried were the weak point. Two of the four third-party pints we bought cracked at the rim within a month of 0 F freezing, and one had a lid that let frost in. The Ninja-branded packs listed here survived 20 dishwasher cycles and 30 days of use without a crack, so that is what we buy.
Yes. Every pack on this page ships with one storage lid per pint or tub. The lid is what lets a base freeze flat and keeps frost off the surface, and it is also what you need to level the top before a second freeze. The 2-pack with Lime and Aqua lids is the only pack with colored lids; the rest are grey.
